Our fugitive emissions detection solutions
Fugitive emission is defined as the unintentional and undesirable emission, leakage, or discharge of gases or vapours from pressure-containing equipment or facilities, and from components inside an industrial plant such as valves, piping flanges, pumps, storage tanks, compressors, etc.
In addition, these emissions are unanticipated; as such, they are not detected by typical monitoring and control devices. Since the typical control equipment and facilities cannot detect them, it is imperative to use specialised equipment. Reporting fugitive gas emissions is an important activity for oil and gas industries, as hydrocarbon gases like Methane play some of the most significant role in accelerating climate change, as per the Global Methane Initiative (GMI). India is a signatory and a partner to the Global Methane Initiative since 2004.
